About the Office of Equity & Compliance

The Office of Equity & Compliance is responsible for the following:

  • Reviewing and investigates reports of unlawful discrimination and harassment.
  • Assisting in addressing systemic concerns based on a protected class.
  • Ensuring adherence to both federal and state laws on affirmative action and equal opportunity.
  • Maintaining compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act.

As the designated office responsible for addressing incidents of discrimination and harassment, we serve as the initial contact point for the resolution and/or investigation of all complaints regarding such conduct, as outlined in the Title IX Sexual Harassment Policy and Prohibited Discrimination and Harassment, including Sexual Harassment, Policy.

ACCOMMODATIONS

Ensuring equitable access, design, and accommodation is key to our Equity and Compliance efforts. Faculty, staff, and student employees seeking workplace accommodations can have their requests processed by the Leaves/Accommodations Team in Human Resources. EXTERNAL COMPLAINTS

Lodging a discrimination or harassment complaint at 鶹ýӳ doesn't limit your ability to seek intervention from external bodies. Should you prefer an independent evaluation of your concerns about employment discrimination, including sexual harassment or retaliation, you have the option to approach relevant external agencies for further assistance
